Who is eligible to apply?
A student is eligible to participate in TRiO-SSS if he/she is accepted to enroll the following semester or is currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student. Students must be US citizens or permanent residents, and have a need for academic services.
Additionally, a student is eligible for the program if he/she meets one or more criteria of a, b, or c.
- a - Is a first-generation college student (neither of the student's parents or guardians received a bachelor's degree)
- b - comes from a low- income family (as defined by federal guidelines)
- c - has a disability
How do I apply?
Stop by the TRiO-SSS Office (Ashmore 101) and complete an application, or download the application. Completed applications may be turned into the TRIO Student Support Services office or the First Year Experience Lounge (Solms 206) or the Academic Advising Center (Student Success Center). Once you have turned in the application, you will be scheduled for a one-on-one appointment with a TRiO staff member.
