Study Abroad - Israel/Palestine

Date: July 1-16, 2018

Cost: $4,182 plus tuition

The theme for this trip to Israel/Palestine is: Conflicts, Culture, and Coexistence. The program will incorporate relevant religious, archaeological, historic, ethnic, and cultural material into the experience so that participants are exposed to historical and contemporary issues related to the Abrahamic faith traditions, statehood, international affairs, and current politics. The group will visit a variety of fascinating sites, such as Bethlehem, Masada, the Dead Sea, Caesarea, the Knesset, Jericho, Galilee, and the Four Quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem: Armenian, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim.

The two-week Summer Institute will focus on the study of modern Japan and encourages participants to develop strategies for incorporating Japanese studies into courses on their campuses.
