Director of International Education Dorothée Mertz-Weigel Selected for Japan Studies Fellowship

(May 16, 2017) – Armstrong State University Director of International Education Dorothée Mertz-Weigel, Ph.D., has been selected to participate in a Japan Studies Institute Fellowship at San Diego State University from June 5-18, 2017. The two-week Summer Institute will focus on the study of modern Japan and encourages participants to develop strategies for incorporating Japanese studies into courses on their campuses.

Savor Tuscany: Armstrong Introduces New Semester Abroad Program in Siena, Italy

(October 24, 2016) – Beginning in the spring semester 2017, Armstrong State University will offer a new semester abroad program in Siena, Italy. Students will take classes via Armstrong’s long-time partner, the Dante Alighieri Institute. The 12-week program, which runs from January 22 through April 14, 2017, is open to all Armstrong students, as well as University System of Georgia transient students, and offers a full roster of semester credits.
