(November 02, 2017) The Carnegie Writers, Inc. (CW) will host its 3rd annual conference at Armstrong State University in collaboration with the university's College of Education. Writing, throughout the years, has held many purposes: to instruct, to inform, to imagine and to connect. This conference caters to all genres of writing and a variety of different writing professions, including educators, authors and students. Inspired by The Carnegie Writers' Group founded by Oluwakemi Elufiede in August 2013, CW is a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for diverse writers. The mission is to advance education, encourage collaboration and provide resources for writing as well as literacy. The vision is to encourage children, adolescents and adults to achieve their personal goals by providing positive and productive support in writing and literacy education.
