(October 27, 2016) – Armstrong State University will celebrate the Symposium on India from Wednesday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 4, in conjunction with Armstrong’s International Education, International Student Organization and the Criminal Justice, Social & Political Science Departments. The Honorable Consul General of India Nagesh Singh will be a guest lecturer for three events.
All events will take place at Armstrong’s main campus at 11935 Abercorn St., and are free and open to the public.

A compelling look at India’s institutional justice system, Court tells the story of a folk singer undergoing investigation after a man commits suicide supposedly due to the singer’s song.

Consul General Lecture: “Enhancing Indo-American Relations”

Join us for a fascinating lecture from the Consul General of India as he discusses the history surrounding Indo-American Relations, as well as how to improve those relations.

Consul General Discussion: “Why Study Abroad in Asia/India?”

As part of a general discussion, the Consul General of India will join us again in discussing the values of studying abroad in Asia/India. A brown bag lunch will be provided.
