Armstrong Grads named Teacher of the Year

(March 09, 2016)  Most of the more than 20 Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools teachers of the year who attended Armstrong State University exhibit their Armstrong spirit before being honored at the school district's annual banquet.  They were selected as the Teacher of the Year at their respective schools from more than 3,000 teachers at 54 schools in the district.

The teachers were joined in the photo by 2015 Savannah-Chatham overall teacher of the year Bynikini Frazier (center front row), who earned a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong's College of Education in 2010.  Three Armstrong graduates (Angel Harlin, Sheila Lamb-Lindblad and Melissa McCoy) were among the five finalists for this year's Savannah-Chatham teacher of the year honor.

This photo was taken at the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Teacher of the Year Gala, which was held on Feb. 11, 2016, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
