(October 5, 2017) – In a midday ceremony at the Armstrong State University Student Union Fountain yesterday, the Student Government Association (SGA) dedicated a memorial plaque in memory of all late Armstrong students, faculty and staff. “The Student Government Association is honored to be able to put this event together and is grateful to dedicate this iconic location on campus in memory of all of the Armstrong students, faculty and staff who have passed away,” said SGA President Nipuna Ambanpola in his opening remarks. “This gives us an opportunity to celebrate their lives and their contributions to our community and be thankful for such leadership, stewardship and scholarship.”

Ambanpola then welcomed Armstrong Interim President Jennifer L. Frum, Ph.D., to the stage and invited guests to join her for the reveal of the memorial plaque on the Student Union Fountain following her address.
