(October 6, 2017) – Armstrong State University Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies Donna Brooks, Ph.D., is the recipient of a four-year U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration’s Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Program Grant valued at $5.2 million.
(Aug. 29, 2017) – Armstrong State University officially broke ground earlier today on the new building that will house the Waters College of Health Professions in Savannah. Georgia Governor Nathan Deal praised the $22 million state-of-the-art facility at a ceremony attended by more than 300 community leaders, political dignitaries, faculty, staff and students.
(August 7, 2017) – Earlier today, the Armstrong State University/Georgia Southern University Consolidation Implementation Committee (CIC) met and approved recommendations to benefit students and promote student success. Recommendations included tailoring academic degree programs for students, streamlining administrative processes to be more efficient, and defining the new admission requirements for the new Georgia Southern.
(May 1, 2017) – Today, Governor Nathan Deal signed the FY18 budget for the State of Georgia, which includes $22 million in construction funding to build a health professions building on the Armstrong State University campus.
