
Admission to Graduate Programs differs from undergraduate admission, as admission decisions at the graduate level are made by the individual academic departments. The graduate catalog is the final authority on requirements for your program of interest. Applicants must have completed or nearly completed the equivalent of a four-year U.S. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Official transcripts with the degree posted are required prior to beginning of graduate classes.
International students or students with transcripts from countries outside the U.S. have additional documents and/or transcript evaluations required. Plan to begin the application process at least nine months in advance of when you would like to begin your program. Your completed application packet, which includes both general admission requirements and individual program requirements, should be submitted to the Office of Admissions by the posted admission deadlines. Standard Requirements for All Programs
- Submit an International Graduate Admissions Application and a nonrefundable application fee. The application fee for spring and summer 2018 is $30. The application fee for fall 2018 and forward is $50.

- Declaration of Financial Resources statement
- Submit one official transcript from each previous college or university attended. Original transcripts are required, even if the courses from one school appear on the transcript of another. Transcripts must arrive in a sealed envelope from the institution. Transcripts must be received within one year of the print/issue date on the transcript.
NOTE: All students with undergraduate or graduate degrees granted in countries outside the United States are required to have an outside international credential evaluation done. See the Approved Evaluation Agencies page for a list of agencies you may use.
- Students whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Information regarding the TOEFL exam may be found at www.ets.org. Information regarding the IELTS exam may be found at www.ielts.org.
The university minimum score requirements are below. Individual departments may require higher scores. Scores are valid for two years from the test date.- TOEFL: minimum score of 523 paper, 193 computer, 70 internet

*The eligibility for the waiver is based on one's cumulative undergraduate and BSN GPA. There is no formal request or application for the waiver necessary. Every applicant is reviewed for the waiver upon application to the MSN program and you will be contacted only if the waiver has not been approved. In order to qualify for a waiver students must hold a bachelor's (BSN) from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada with a cumulative GPA and nursing GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
