Financial Aid: FSEOG

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

A Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is for first time undergraduates with exceptional financial need. FSEOG does not have to be paid back. These funds are awarded to Pell Grant recipients with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) . Because FSEOG funds are limited, it is vital that you complete your FAFSA as soon as possible.

The US Department of Education guarantees that each school will receive enough funds to pay the Pell Grants to its eligible students. There is no guarantee every eligible student will be able to receive FSEOG based on the availability of funds. FSEOG is funded with Federal dollars, but administered locally at each school; therefore, it is considered a campus-based program.
