Welcome to the College of Education
If you are passionate about inspiring others, you have come to the right place! We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of the aspiring educator and the professional educator alike.
We are designed to prepare P-5 and special education teachers who demonstrate the highest qualities of character and ethical behavior, as well as the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to enter the educational and service communities as a learner, collaborator, and mentor in the learning process.
Our department offers an array of undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. We are committed to the preparation of people who celebrate and foster inclusion, diversity, multiculturalism and learning at any age.
The Office of Field Experiences, Clinical Practice and Partnerships (OFECPP) is responsible for ensuring our College of Education teacher candidates are placed in productive learning environments that build knowledge, skills and dispositions regarding teaching. The OFECPP coordinates all field experiences and clinical placements.
A partnership between Armstrong College of Education and Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) at Hesse K-8 School to create a learning environment that benefits from a shared research focus, improved teacher preparation, enhanced professional development and support for practicing teachers.
