International Education: Current Students

The Office of International Education is organized to assist non-immigrant international students, faculty members, internationally-born citizens and permanent residents with orientation, academic advisement and adjustment to Armstrong and to the Savannah community. Additionally, our office helps promote, coordinate and administer study abroad and exchange programs that are developed by faculty and offered by the University System of Georgia.

Our purpose is to aid you with any problems or questions you might encounter during your stay. We hope you will always contact us if we may be of any assistance to you. If we cannot help with a particular inquiry or problem, we will aid you in finding the correct department or person.

The Office of International Education is located in Gamble Hall 110, and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please feel free to call 344.3128 or to email us at any time.

Read More Armstrong State to Host Symposium on North and South Korea Sept. 20 and 21

(September 18, 2017) – Armstrong State University will host a symposium on North and South Korea on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and Thursday, Sept. 21, with lectures on human rights, nuclear issues and the Republic of Korea (ROK)-U.S. alliance, and cultural events. The symposium will take place on Armstrong’s main campus at 11935 Abercorn St. All events are free and open to the public.

(May 16, 2017) – Armstrong State University Director of International Education Dorothée Mertz-Weigel, Ph.D., has been selected to participate in a Japan Studies Institute Fellowship at San Diego State University from June 5-18, 2017. The two-week Summer Institute will focus on the study of modern Japan and encourages participants to develop strategies for incorporating Japanese studies into courses on their campuses.

All events will take place at Armstrong’s main campus at 11935 Abercorn St. in Savannah. The festival is free and open to the public.
