Office of Facility Services

Facility Services at Armstrong State University is dedicated to providing best in class service to the university. We will at all times maintain a safe, clean, and attractive physical environment that is conducive to excellence in education and that can position the university as a leader among local, state, and national institutions of higher education.

Our vision is to be innovative leaders in Facilities Management and recognized by the university community for our excellence in service. 

The busy central office of Facility Services is located at 13040 Abercorn Street in the Armstrong Center. Our goal is to enhance and further the university's growth and development.

Our office is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Although we are not open 24 hours, supervisors can be reached in case of emergency. For after-hour emergencies only, please call University Police at 912.344.3333.

Guiding Philosophies


Our purpose is to serve the needs of the university. As such, we understand that a focus on customer service is primary to providing the best in class service. Emphasis is placed on courtesy, compassion, and communication.


Our employees will at all times maintain the highest regard for personal and professional integrity. Providing best in class service is not just about performing work - it is about how that work is performed. We will always make decisions that are in the best interest of the university and those who live, work, and visit here.


We will continue to assess and improve our processes, learning from our mistakes. We must think outside the box and challenge the way we think as individuals and as a team.


We will be effective stewards of the university's resources, as well as the physical environment that encompasses the campus and its neighbors. Great care will be taken to adhere to all local, state, and federal laws as they apply to environmental policies.


We realize the importance of employee engagement in the success of the department, and by extension the success of the university. Open communication and dialogue must occur, free of the fear of judgment by peers. We also realize the importance of engagement with the University and our customers. Employees are encouraged to participate in university events, sit on university committees, and bring to the table ideas on how the department can better serve the community.
