Career Services: Resumes and Cover letters

Resume Resources

Your resumé is the main marketing tool you have to use in your job search. A well written and formatted resumé is the key to landing job interviews. Use the tools below to help create your resumé and then make an appointment with Career Services to have it critiqued by calling 912.344.2563.

Also, keep in mind that when applying for federal jobs, the resumes are not the same as would be in standard civilian positions. Refer to the Federal Job Guide below for great advice on crafting those documents!

Sample Resumés

Below are several examples of sample resumé, based on different majors offered at Armstrong. Though each resumé is slightly different, they all contain the same basic information.

Cover Letter Resources

A well written cover letter can go a long way to earning you an interview for a job. Use the resources below to write a draft of your cover letter and then make an appointment with Career Services to have it reviewed by calling 912.344.2563.

Your references should be listed on a separate document from your resumé.  Below are examples of a sample reference page. Note that your heading (name and contact information at the top of the page) should match whatever format you have chosen for your resumé.
