Biodynamics and Human Performance Center

Welcome to Armstrong State University’s Biodynamics and Human Performance Center website.  On the website you will find information regarding facilities, current and past research projects, community partners, and current news and events.  Whether you are a prospective student, academic faculty member, member of the medical community or a commercial business/vendor who has an interest in studying and evaluating all aspects of human movement across the lifespan, we invite you to contact us and become involved with our Center. 

The 3200 sq foot Biodynamics and Human Performance Center resides in Ashmore Hall.  Functionally the Center is subdivided into three laboratories, Biomechanics Laboratory, Muscle Performance Laboratory and the Exercise Physiology Laboratory.  Three full-time Graduate Research Assistants are now employed by the Center to assist with the numerous teaching, research and service activities occurring in the Center each day.

Read More Georgia Game Changers Injury Screens

(December 18, 2015) - First year students in our DPT program conducted screenings at Georgia Game Changers. The students performed Functional Movement Screens (FMS) and Y-Balance tests on approximately (50) participants. Participants included recreational runners, high school track runners, and the general public. These screenings provided the students with an opportunity to provide a community service and practice new skills.

(December 11, 2015) - Armstrong State University and the City of Hinesville hosted a ribbon cutting for the new Armstrong Liberty Center, located in Hinesville, Ga., on Dec. 10. The 21,000-square-foot facility, which will open to students in January, is more than double the size of the previous Liberty Center.
