Academic Advisement - Time Management Aids

Managing your time is vital to your academic success. Many students who have problems in college find that their struggles are not due to any lack of intelligence or ability: it is usually a problem with their schedules.

If you want to be successful, you need to make sure you devote enough time to your school work. It may take you a semester or two to figure out exactly how much time you will need, but there is a valuable guideline:

The average college student needs 2-3 study/class preparation hours weekly for each credit hour of a class. That is 6-9 study hours each week for every 3 credit-hour class.
Take a look at these worksheets and planners to make sure you are on the right time management track.
