Academic Advisement - Core Curriculum

All students at Armstrong, regardless of major, must complete the university's core curriculum, a selection of approximately 20 courses plus three hours of physical education.
 

Area A Essential Skills 3 Classes
Area B Institutional Options 2 Classes
Area C Humanities & Fine Arts 2 Classes
Area D Science, Math & Technology 3 Classes
Area E Social Sciences 4 Classes
Area F Courses Appropriate to Major 5-6 Classes (18 Credit hours)
PE Physical Education 1-3 Classes (3 Credit hours)

 

The Core Curriculum Checksheet outlines the specific courses that will fulfill the requirement for each category. Course descriptions, which may be found in the Armstrong Catalog, list any prerequisite or co-requisite courses.
