Office of Advancement

The Office of Advancement is responsible for building and enhancing the university's communications and financial relationships with its many constituents including students, alumni, business leaders and influencers, news media and the general public, public relations, publications, the web site, and other marketing efforts that strengthen the brand and the university mission.

It also develops relationships with alumni, donors and supporters across the community and the state to help provide partnerships and funding for scholarships and other vital programs that foster student success.

Read More Armstrong State University Receives $79,000 Gift to Support New Tennis Complex

(May 25, 2016) – Savannah residents Michelle and Barry Vine presented a gift of $79,000 to Armstrong State University in support of the university’s state-of-the-art tennis complex, currently under construction on campus. By fall, the tennis complex will be home to Armstrong’s women’s tennis team, NCAA Division II National Champions who clinched their tenth national title over the weekend, and the three-time National Champion men’s tennis team.

(April 4, 2016) – At a special Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools gala, 28 of Armstrong's College of Education alumni were honored as school-level Teachers of the Year. Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education President Jolene Byrne told attendees that this honor is given in recognition and appreciation of the teachers' service to students and families.

(December 18, 2015) – A local family, who wishes to remain anonymous, recently donated $100,000 to establish the Armstrong Emergency Food Resource Fund at Armstrong State University. The family, which includes a faculty member and two generations of university alumni, is committed to support efforts to thwart the national trend of food insecurity among college students.
