International Education Week

Monday, November 13 

- Taste of the World: Noon - 2 p.m. 
Interact with current international students in Residential Plaza. Sample their favorite dishes from home while learning about the culture through informative displays and casual conversation. 

- Keynote Address: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. 
One of Belize's foremost cultural ambassadors Pen Cayetano will deliver an address entitled "My People, the Garinagu: History, Art & Music" in the Ogeechee Theater and demonstrate the music of his culture through a drum performance. 

- International Fashion Show: 1:30 - 2 p.m. 
International students will model traditional clothing throughout Residential Plaza and share their country's cultural history by describing the special occassions on which such attire is worn. 

Tuesday, November 14 

- Screening of "Tickling Giants": 6 - 8 p.m.
Take a seat in the Ogeechee Theater, and view a 2016 documentary that follows second-career comedian Bassem Youssef. Watch as he tests the limitations of free press through jokes and catalyzes citizens suppressed by dictatorship through his comedy on "The Show."

Wednesday, November 15 

- International Cafe: Thailand: 1 - 2 p.m. 
Experience Thailand from the perspective of an Armstrong student by visiting the pop-up International Cafe in University Hall 156. 

- International Game Night: 6 - 8 p.m. 
Try your hand at games from around the world or play some of your favorite games with members of the International Student Organization in the Compass Point Clubhouse. 

Thursday, November 16 

- Discover Sweden: Noon - 1 p.m. 
Meet Linnaeus University's International Coordinator Ulla Kerren and Senior Lecturer of Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences Maria Mattsson. Both will share information on student life in Sweden, including educational and cultural customs. 

- International Awards Ceremony: 3 - 5 p.m. 
Celebrate Armstrong's faculty, staff and students who have strengthed the university's international community at this year's International Awards Ceremony in the Student Union Ballroom.
