Overview & Background
The Alumni Association Board of Directors established the Alumni Awards in 1988. There are four levels of awards in the program, Notable Alumni, Outstanding Alumni, Distinguished Alumni and Eminent Alumni.
Notable Alumni Awards are a lifelong honor; once a Notable, always a Notable. Candidates for the Notable Alumni Award have shown excellence in their work, community or in philanthropy. Being named a Notable qualifies you for consideration for the higher awards in every subsequent year.
The Outstanding Alumni Service Award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to both the growth and development of the university through dedication and support of the institution and the Alumni Association.
We present the Distinguished Alumni Award to alumni who have provided leadership or attained recognition on a national or regional level within their profession or business; or who have provided extraordinary service to their community.
Our Eminent Alumni Award is presented to a previous Outstanding or Distinguished Alumna or Alumnus only in cases of extreme merit. Therefore, The Eminent Alumni Award is not awarded every year.
