We have just posted an internship opportunity in Savannah with global automotive manufacturer Volvo Group.  The paid position supports the onsite manufacturing operations and quality process at Volvo's North American Completion Center in Savannah.  Working with the Manufacturing and Quality Engineer the core responsibilities are:

Gulfstream Aerospace
Gulfstream currently has 28 paid college internships posted at  Students should access this site and select the blue Search Careers button and enter "intern" in the search box.  Internship opportunities include Financial Planning and Analysis, Interior Design, Accounting, Market Research, and various Engineering and Quality Control opportunities.  Gulfstream is eager to hire Armstrong students as a means to build a pool of qualified local talent for future full-time positions.  Local students also reduce Gulfstream's expense for summer housing that they provide along with the internship positions.

Savannah Bananas
The local Savannah Bananas baseball team has just posted six summer 2017 internship positions.  They are Sales, Servicing (supporting partners and members), Marketing/Design, Promotions, Operations, and Food/Beverage.  Last summer the Bananas hired two Armstrong students for internship positions and now both students work with the organization full-time!  The owners of the Savannah Bananas are eager to build a strategic relationship with Armstrong due to the strength of the students that they have seen so far and their commitment to the Savannah community.  All internship decisions will be made by the end of November so students should quickly access the opportunities at

(May 5, 2017) – Six Savannah Christian Preparatory School students took home the gold for Best Overall Design at this year’s Engineering Design Challenge (EDC), presented by Armstrong State University’s Engineering Studies Program on Saturday, April 29. The winning team, comprised of Camila Hilsaca, Carsen Christy, Blake Chance, Jay Bradley, Robby McCool and Cameron Shults, received a $500 cash prize.

(April 25, 2017) – Armstrong State University Engineering Studies Professor Priya Thamburaj Goeser, Ph.D., has been selected as a 2017 Governor’s Teaching Fellow for the summer symposium program. Established in 1995 by former Governor Zell Miller, the Governor’s Teaching Fellows Program provides select Georgia higher education faculty with expanded opportunities for developing important teaching skills.
