CS & IT: Minors

Minor in Computer Science

Students can earn a minor in Computer Science by completing 15 hours in computer science courses.

Computer Science - 15 hours
CSCI 1301, CSCI 1302, and nine semester hours from any 3000-5000 level computer science courses, excluding CSCI 3990, and internships.
(A grade of C or better is required in each course used towards a minor.)

Minor in Information Technology

Students can earn a minor in Information Technology by completing 18 hours in computer science and information technology courses.

Information Technology Minor - 18 hours
CSCI 1301, ITEC 1300, and ITEC 1310, plus nine semester hours from any 3000-4000 level information technology courses.
(A grade of C or better is required in each course used towards a minor.)

Minor in Cyber Security

Cyber Security Minor - 18 hours

Students can earn a minor in Cyber Security by completing 18 hours.  The Department of Computer Science and Information Technlogy participates in offering an interdisciplinary minor in Cyber Security.  See details under "Interdisciplinary Certificates and Minors" in the catalog. (A grade of C or better is required in each course used towards a minor.)

Minor in Mobile and Web Development

Mobile and Web Development - 18 hours

Students can earn a minor in Mobile and Web Development by completing 18 hours.

One course selected from CSCI 1301 or ITEC 1310, plus CSCI 1150, CSCI 3301, CSCI 3370, ITEC 2000, ITEC 3950.  (A grade of C or better is required in each course used towards a minor.)
