Students in the Computer Science and Information Technology programs have many opportunities to participate in cooperative education, internships, professional societies, and undergraduate research projects with faculty.

The department offers bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology and a master's degree in Computer & Information Science with tracks in pure Computer Science and in Health Informatics.

(June 7, 2016) – Armstrong State University officials signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence located at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Ga., on June 2 to share resources and help develop a cyber-trained workforce through education, innovation research and outreach.

Georgia Power Donates $20,000 to Support STEM Initiatives

(Feb. 4, 2015) — Cathy Hill, vice president of Georgia Power’s Coastal Region, recently presented Armstrong State University president Dr. Linda M. Bleicken with a check for $20,000 from the Georgia Power Foundation to benefit the university’s College of Science and Technology and ongoing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives.
