Armstrong State University rests on an attractive 268-acre arboretum campus on the south side of Savannah, Georgia, featuring classic-columned buildings and modern, well-equipped laboratories, classrooms, and auditoriums. The campus includes computing labs, a newly renovated library and innovative learning commons, a student recreation center, twelve lighted tennis courts and a new student union with a convenience store and a Starbucks coffee shop.

(January 18, 2017) – Armstrong State University will host a free lecture by Comparative Literature Assistant Professor Hapsatou Wane and History Associate Professor Allison Scardino Belzer. In a lecture titled “Women in Conflict: Constructing Identity in the Twentieth Century During Dictatorship and War,” they will draw from distinct historical moments and settings to explore how women writers respond to political and military conflict.
