Windows Vista

After downloading and running the appropriate SecureW2 application the installation window will appear. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation. Click the “Finish” button to reboot your machine.
After rebooting your computer, you should see the following balloon appear above the network icon in the system tray (near the time in the lower right corner of the screen.) Click on the balloon to display the SecureW2 password prompt. If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, this balloon will not appear. Skip to “Additional Step for 64 Bit Versions: Creating the wireless profile.” If this balloon says “Unable to connect to the wireless network,” then follow the steps for 64 bit version as well.
Enter your Pirates’ Cove username and password. (Faculty and staff will use your Novell account user names and passwords).
Click the check box next to “Save user credentials” if you do not want this prompt to appear each time you connect to this network.
Click OK to finish connecting to the network.

Click on the network icon in the system tray (near the time in the lower right corner), and select “Network and Sharing Center.
Select “Manage wireless networks” on the left side of the Network and Sharing Center (third from the top in the list).
In this list, if “AASU_WLAN” appears, select it and click on “Remove.” If AASU_STUDENT_WLAN (or AASU_FACULTY_WLAN) appears, remove it, too.
Next, click the “Add” button above the list of networks.

Click “Manually create a network profile.”
For the Network name, enter AASU_STUDENT_WLAN (or AASU_FACULTY_WLAN for faculty/staff members.)
For the Security type, select WPA2-Enterprise.
Leave the other settings at their defaults displayed in this screenshot. Click "Next"
Click “Change connection settings” to finish configuring this profile.

Select the Security tab. Under “Choose a network authentication method,” select “AuthorID 29114: SecureW2 EAP-TTLS.”
Uncheck “Cache user information for subsequent connections to this network.”
Click “Settings” to configure SecureW2.
Click “Configure” on this dialog box.
Select the Certificates tab. Uncheck “Verify server certificate.”
Select the User account tab. Uncheck “Prompt user for credentials.” Enter your Pirates’ Cove username and password. For faculty and staff, use your Novell username and password. Leave the domain blank, and do not check the checkbox at the bottom of this dialog box.
Click OK to close this dialog box. Click OK on the SecureW2 Configuration dialog box and also on the Wireless Network Properties box for AASU_STUDENT_WLAN (or AASU_FACULTY_WLAN).
Your computer should automatically connect to the network shortly after you click OK on the Wireless Network Properties page.
