Welcome

STEP up to research at AASU!

Welcome to the STEP Program at AASU. STEP is a federally funded (NSF) program within the AASU College of Science and Technology.  We were funded beginning in the Summer of 2009 to bring incoming freshmen to AASU to perform guided undergraduate research projects with our students and faculty for 6 weeks.

Our departments of Biology, Chemistry & Physics, Computer Science & Information Technology,  Mathematics, and Psychology comprise the CST (College of Science and Technology), and the faculty and staff in these departments are dedicated to your success.  We specialize in engaging courses and research opportunities that prepare students for graduate programs, for careers as teachers, for pre-professional schools or for exciting technology careers in the greater Savannah area and beyond.  As 80% of the economy revolves around science and technology, training in these areas offers a lifetime of intellectual stimulation and financial success.  We are a regional leader in the training of science and mathematics teachers and we are recognized for excellence in undergraduate research.  We accomplish this by dedicating our attention to your success.  The STEP program is just one of the many programs that can get you started on a great career in science or mathematics.
