Noyce MASTERS | Math and Science Teacher Education Readiness Scholarships

Any science or mathematics student or graduate with a major offered at Armstrong (biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, psychology) or a science or math graduate returning to school with a science or math major not offered at Armstrong (e.g. geology, engineering, environmental science, biochemistry and many others) may be named a  "STEM Education Scholar" and receive the scholarships outlined below:
  • Rising juniors may receive up to $10,000 a year for up to 3 years
  • Rising Seniors may receive up to $10,000 a year forup to 2 years.
  • Graduates may receive up to $10,000 a year for up to 1 -1 ½ years.

You must have had a 2.5 GPA overall and preferrably a 2.75 in your science and mathematics courses.  You must maintain this GPA to be eligible for continued support in subsequent years.

Juniors and Seniors named "STEM Education Scholars" at Armstrong will be involved in many activities such as tutoring, immersion into the local classrooms and an education research project supervised by a Noyce Faulty member.  You will receive credit in your major for these activities.
