BS in Mathematical Sciences, Applied Mathematics Option- Sample Curricula
Following are samples of how the requirements for the degree can be met in eight semesters. There are three versions; all assume that the student begins his or her studies in the Fall. Version A assumes that the student is well-prepared enough to take Calculus I in the Fall of his or her first year. Version B assumes that the student takes Precalculus in the Fall of his or her first year. Finally, Version C assumes that the student begins with College Algebra in the Fall of his or her first year. For the Applied Mathematics option, math electives must include at least one of MATH 3110, MATH 3170, MATH 4011, or MATH 5160U. Upper division electives must be chosen from the mathematical sciences, the concentration area, ENGL 3720, or HIST 5640.
Remember: These are only samples to aid in planning your own course work.
