Pre-Medicine

Students interested in Pre-Medicine, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Physician Assistant typically major in Biology or Chemistry and are advised on the best course of study by a faculty member in that department. We encourage all students interested in any of these paths to contact an advisor early in their academic careers to ensure they choose the most appropriate curriculum.

Pre-Medicine
The pre-medicine program prepares students to apply for admission to medical school. After graduating from Armstrong Atlantic State University, students apply to medical school to complete their training to become a physician. A medical doctor has a variety of practice opportunities, including working in hospitals and private practice.
