Dr. Sarah Gray joins the chemistry program at Armstrong as assistant professor of chemistry
Dr. Sarah Gray has joined the Department of Chemistry and Physics as a new tenure-track assistant professor of chemistry. Dr. Gray recieved a B.A. in chemistry from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry is from the University of Montana with a dissertation titled: "Marine Applications of an Autonomous Indicator-Based pH Sensor". Following her Ph.D. she was named the Thomas McKenna Meredith '48 Postdoctoral Fellow in Environmental Science. at Trinity College in Connecticut. During her postdoctoral appoinment, Dr. Gray taught courses in environmental science as well as conducting research on freshwater systems. Dr. Gray will support instruction in the analytical chemistry curriculum, general chemistry as well as conducting undergraduate research in the area of biogeochemical cycles.
