Dr. Sabitra Brush receives $38,715 from the Teacher Quality Program to support elementary school teachers.
Dr. Brush, chemistry, has been awarded over $38,000 from a grant to the Improving Teacher Quality Grant Program to support science in the K-12 system in southeast Georgia.  The grant titled “Georgia Operational Physical Science for Elementary School Teachers” will be implemented in the Summer of 2012 on the Armstrong campus as well as provide learning communities for the teachers after the summer session ends.  Graduate tuition, supplies and instructional support to improve the ability of elementary school teachers to instruct physical science will be paid from the grant.
