Dr. Mitch Weiland receives internal grant to support his scholarly activities.
Dr. Mitch Weiland, chemistry, has been awarded $1521 from the Armstrong Research and Scholarship Committee to support his research agenda.  The project, titled “Identification of Membrane Interacting Regions within Human Pore Forming Proteins” is designed to investigate adaptive and innate immunity in humans.  The goal of this work is to use protein engineering techniques to identify functional regions within innate immunity proteins to further understand their role in immune processes.
