Cassandra Connolly has been recognized with the  John G. Brewer Outstanding Chemistry Senior Award for 2011-2012 by the Department of Chemistry and Physics.  Cassie is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School. She began undergraduate research on an interdisciplinary project on bioreductases with Drs. Feske and Mateer in the Departments of Biology and Chemistry and Physics funded by the National Science Foundation. Cassie has an outstanding academic record as well as undergraduate research record.  She has presented her undergraduate research at the 243rdNational Meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Diego California. She was also recognized by the University as a 2012 graduate of the Armstrong Honors Program, an inductee into Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, and a Silver A Award Winner for Service to the University. Cassie has accepted a graduate fellowship in the PhD program at Emory University to work on her PhD in the area of biochemistry.
