Dr. Will Lynch is recognized by the American Chemical Society for his efforts as a 2011-2012 Science Coach
Will Lynch (chemistry) has been honored by the American Chemical Society (ACS) for being selected as a Science Coach for the 2011-2012 academic year. During this year, he partnered with students and faculty at Blessed Sacrament School in Savannah to support teaching and learning in the sciences grades K-8. The interactions included demonstration trips, laboratory visits, science club coordination and discussions of content with Ms. Kelli Whitney, Science Specialist at Blessed Sacrament School.
ACS Science Coaches is a pilot program that encourages ACS members to share their expertise and enthusiasm for science directly with middle and high school teachers. This personal approach is one way ACS members collectively improve science education. The Science Coaches Program through the ACS donates $500 to the school which the Coach interacts with.
