Dr. Clifford Padgett (chemistry) receives Tenure and Promotion to Associate Professor of Chemistry.
The Department of Chemistry and Physics is pleased to announce that Dr. Cliff Padgett (chemistry) has been granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor of Chemistry. Dr. Padgett is in his 7th year at Armstrong. He received his BS in chemistry and physics from Erskine College, a M.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry from Clemson University and completed post-doctoral fellowships at Clemson and North Carolina State University prior to joining the faculty at Armstrong in 2006. At Armstrong, Dr. Padgett teaches mainly in the physical and analytical disciplines of chemistry as well as general chemistry courses. During his tenure at Armstrong, Dr. Padgett has been involved in four NSF grants totaling over $750,000. Dr. Padgett is the author of 37 peer reviewed publications to date and five of the most recent six include undergraduate co-authors.
