Bill Baird (physics) publishes paper in the magazine Nuts and Volts
Dr. Bill Baird, associate professor of physics, has published a paper in the September 2012 issue of Nuts and Volts. The paper titled, “Build Your Own Magnetometer” appears on pages 26-30. The manuscript describes the construction of one of the “neatest” gadgets in modern IC technology, the magnetometer , all for under $25. The magnetometer allows you to measure the strength of magnetic fields in a local environment.
