Chemistry adds a new high field NMR to improve student instruction

The chemistry program has recently received a new JEOL 300 MHz ECS 300 high field NMR instrument to support organic instruction.  The instrument was purchased via university funds to meet a need in our program to improve student access to the latest in technology.  The instrument has multinuclear and multi-dimensional capabilities and will be used primarily in the organic laboratory to identify chemical compounds.  This instrument joins an extensive list of state-of-the-art instrumentation that the program is committed to acquiring and providing student access to in the undergraduate curriculum.  A complete list of instrumentation is available on the department website at chemphys.armstrong.edu.
