Ms. Suzy Carpenter (chemistry) is a contributing author on the Barron’s Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT), 5thEdition review textbook. The text provides prospective pharmacy students with the most up-to-date review and practice tests of relevant topics on the PCAT. This includes two full-length practice tests with full explanations of each question, reviews of all topics and expert advice on how to achieve a higher PCAT score. Ms. Carpenter wrote the chemistry chapter including practice questions and explanatory answers and contributed the chemistry items with explanations for the practice tests. Ms. Carpenter, a registered pharmacist as well as an associate professor of chemistry, has long served as an outstanding mentor to students at Armstrong interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy. This mentoring record contributed to her being recognized by AASU students as the 2011 H. Dean Propst Award recipient.
