Welcome

The Armstrong Atlantic State University' Biology Department offers a wide-range of courses for enterprising students.  As a Biology major, you can pick from three tracks that can allow you to tailor coursework to match your interests.  Courses in the Cell & Molecular, Marine, and General Biology tracks will prepare you for advanced degrees or for careers in biology-related fields.  In addition, our Department offers opportunities for internships and undergraduate research for students who want practical experience.  Regardless of whether you are majoring in biology or are simply taking a course to fulfill general education requirements, you will encounter dedicated, well-trained professors who are committed to teaching.  Biology is a dynamic, rapidly growing field, and our faculty prides itself on teaching fundamental principles while incorporating up-to-date equipment and technologies.  I welcome any questions you may have about our Department and I look forward to hearing from you.
