Pre-Physician Assistant

Students interested in Pre-Medicine, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Physician Assistant typically major in Biology or Chemistry and are advised on the best course of study by a faculty member in that department. We encourage all students interested in any of these paths to contact an advisor early in their academic careers to ensure they choose the most appropriate curriculum.

Pre-Physician Assistant
The pre-physician assistant program prepares students to apply for admission to physician assistant school. After graduation from AASU, students apply to physician assistant school to complete their training to become a physician assistant. A physician assistant has a variety of practice opportunities, including working in hospitals and private practice.
