Pre-Pharmacy

Students interested in Pre-Medicine, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Physician Assistant typically major in major in Biology or Chemistry and are advised on the best course of study by a faculty member in that department. We encourage all students interested in any of these paths to contact an advisor early in their academic careers to ensure they choose the most appropriate curriculum.

Pre-Pharmacy
The pre-pharmacy program prepares students to apply for admission to pharmacy school. After graduation from pharmacy school and completion of an internship and licensure exams, the Registered Pharmacist has a variety of practice opportunities, including retail pharmacy, hospitals, clinics, mental health treatment centers, research labs, prisons and extended care facilities.
