Career Opportunities
Graduates of Early Childhood Education programs are in demand, and the employment outlook for elementary teachers is positive. Our graduates are employed in Chatham County as well as surrounding counties, in other parts of the state, and nationally.Upon completion of this degree, students are eligible to teach elementary school in the State of Georgia in both public and private schools.
Program Facilities and Features
ECE students gain valuable field experiences and internships in cooperating local schools. We integrate field experiences throughout major courses. Because we have a low student-to-faculty ratio, our students get personalized education in all areas of teacher education. An active Student Georgia Association of Educators (SGAE) chapter offers excellent opportunities for involvement in a professional education organization. A master’s degree is also offered.
