The Department of Art, Music & Theatre is proud to announce Ms. Janet McGarity as the 2011-12 Presser Undergraduate Music Scholar. The award of $4800 was announced at the Armstrong Honors Convocation Award Ceremony in April 2011.

The award is made possible by Presser Foundation. The recipient of the award is determined by a vote of the full-time music faculty and made possible by a donation from a foundation established by the late music publisher, Theodore Presser. The recipient must have completed the Piano Proficiency requirements, completed the four semester music theory sequence, finished one semester of MUSC 3400 and passed their Rising Junior and Regents Exams.
