Did you know that new graduate students may be eligible for a two-year scholarship and receive a commission in the Army? You do not even have to have served in the Army before. Speak to someone at the ROTC office (Armstrong Center, Suite 13) to see if you qualify.
Options for graduate students include:
- Attend the Leaders Training course for 6 credit hours at no charge. The course is held at Ft. Knox, KY, requires no obligation to the Army, and you receive pay while attending the course.
- Attend the junior level ROTC classes and at the end of your first graduate year attend the Leaders Training Course. At the end of your Senior Army ROTC year (second graduate year) you would attend the Leadership Development Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Lewis, WA and be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant at the completion of LDAC that summer.
- Request an exception to policy through the Professor of Military Science to allow high school JROTC (2 years) to substitute for the basic course classes or have completed basic training (any service).
