About Cyber Crime Certificate
Format : Online Program
Program offered beginning in Fall 2013.
The Department of Criminal Justice Social and Political Science offers a graduate Certificate in Cyber Crime. Courses in Cyber Crime are designed to offer advanced professional development for law enforcement agencies, not-for-profit organizations and private industries throughout Southeastern Georgia. Armstrong Atlantic State University has created a “state of the science” infrastructure for cyber security through its Cyber Security Research Institute (CSRI).
Students are provided with a unique opportunity to conduct research and to study cyber crime issues with staff and faculty in this professional setting. Courses listed herein provide students with the option of obtaining a Certificate in Cyber Crime after the completion of 18 semester hours of course work (six courses). This certificate is open as a continuing education program to all individuals who have graduated from an accredited college or university.
The Armstrong Cyber Crime Certificate is the only one of its kind in the region.
Cyber Crime Certificate holders are currently employed throughout Southeastern Georgia in police departments and public safety agencies. A substantial number of Cyber Crime graduates have continued on as graduate students in the MS Program in Criminal Justice at Armstrong.
Armstrong is authorized to offer online programs in many states. Authorization is currently pending in additional states as Armstrong continues to research and respond to the requirements for each state.
