About this event:
The Masquers Theatre troupe presents this family saga penned by contemporary Atlanta-based playwright, Pearl Cleage, as she set it in the all-black town of Nicodemus, Kansas in 1898. Flyin’ West tells the compelling and inspiring story of courageous, Black pioneer women who have come west to build a new life for themselves, free from the racism and oppression of the South.

Following its 1992 premiere at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre, Cleage's play was the most produced play in America during 1994.

The Masquers performances are at Armstrong's Jenkins Hall Theater.

General admission: Only $10.
Discounts available to military, seniors, alumni association members, and students/children.
Armstrong students, faculty and staff admitted free of charge with valid PirateCard.
