Scholarships

You may receive scholarships/stipends in one of two ways:

• through financial aid
• through departmental awards.

For financial aid assistance, visit the Financial Aid Office. Deadlines are as early as March 1 for the following academic year.

For department awards (see below) - deadlines are as early as March 1 for the following academic year. Please download the Art Scholarship Application Form and complete and return to:

Department scholarships available

The following are scholarships awarded by the faculty based on merit in the program. Students do not apply for these scholarships.

Art Education Scholarship - outstanding senior art education major, service to the art education community - up to $500 award each year

The following are scholarships available based on department criteria. Students must apply for these scholarships.


Gail Brannen Art Scholarship - Photography - varies each year
Charles and Jo Elliot Jones Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship - completed freshman year, full-time status, declared art, music or theatre major - varies each year
Sam and Lila Varnedoe Scholarship - current or incoming freshman art student, portfolio required - varies each year
