Dr. Wofford has served as adjunct faculty in the DPT program at AASU for the past three years and became full time faculty in August of this year. She received her masters of physical therapy from Elon University in 2002 and completed her transitional doctorate degree from Elon in 2004. Dr. Wofford received her bachelor's degree in modern languages and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Wofford has worked in both civilian and military outpatient settings, including the hospitals at both Fort Bragg and Fort Stewart. She has had the opportunity to practice autonomously, including the ordering of diagnostic imaging and certain medications. Dr. Wofford is an orthopedic clinical specialist and has also completed her manual therapy certification in mechanical diagnosis and therapy.
Research interests for Dr. Wofford include spinal pathologies, real-time ultrasound, and manual therapy interventions.
Dr. Wofford is a member of the orthopedic and health policy and administration sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also the coastal director for the physical therapy association of Georgia.
