General Admission Information and Application
Admission to Armstrong Atlantic State University does not guarantee admission to the Department of Radiologic Sciences. The department has a separate formal admissions process in addition to the admission process for the university. Applicants are required to submit a formal application to the department; and transcripts of all college and technical school course work.
The deadline for submission of the application and items listed below is November 22 of each year. You must send unofficial transcripts to the Department of Radiologic Sciences by this same date. Please note this due date does NOT apply to the Bridge Program. You may apply to the Bridge Program at any time. No application is complete unless it includes the following: ACCEPTANCE to the university, application to the Department, HOBET Test Scores, and unofficial transcripts (sent to the Department of Radiologic Sciences). Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Prior to January 9, the department must receive a transcript showing grades from the last term attended AND a course schedule for the current term.

A new class begins in August (Fall Semester) each year. Applications will be considered on a competitive basis and written notification of acceptance will begin March 1st (no one will be notified of acceptance by phone). Applications received after the submission deadline will be considered only if seats are available. The amount of completed course work, the number of science courses completed, HOBET scores, and GPA determine competitiveness. Additional points may be awarded for completion of selected course work in the major. Please see your advisor for details.
Please note that prior conviction of a felony or misdemeanor may prevent you from sitting for the national certification examination. If you have been convicted of either a felony or misdemeanor, you must complete the pre-application review process as prescribed by the certification agency and provide the Department with verification of eligibility for the examination. See Radiologic Sciences Application for more information: https://secureweb.armstrong.edu/radsci/
It is the student's responsibility to ensure that a current and correct address is on file with the Department of Radiologic Sciences. The Department assumes no responsibility for postal items once they leave the Department of Radiologic Sciences.
