Bridge Program
Your Path from RT to Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences Degree
The Department of Radiologic Sciences offers a degree completion program for radiographers, radiation therapists, sonographers and nuclear medicine technologists. If you are certified by the ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB, then you may qualify to complete a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences degree through Armstrong Atlantic State University. We offer a wide variety of mechanisms for technologists and therapists to advance professionally.
Three Track Choices
Clinical Track
Course work concentration in advanced clinical skills, such as CT, MRI or mammography. The mammography concentration is only available to radiographers. All courses (except clinical education) in the major are offered online and clinical education may be completed in your local area. Completion of the clinical education requirements will lead to eligibility for certification in CT, MRI or mammography.
Management Track
Course work concentration in advanced management skills. Five of the courses in the major must be taken on-campus at Armstrong but the other course requirements in the major are offered online.
Non-Clinical Track
Courses in the major are offered online. Students will gain a variety of educational experiences that include leadership, management, and technical communication.
Degree Requirements
The degree consists of 129 semester hours, 63 hours in the core and 66 hours in the major. You will be given 33 semester hours, 1/2 of the major, for your primary certification. Secondary certifications may qualify you for additional credit hours in the major.
